New Zealand

New Zealand is a country of approximately 4.5 million; known for its natural beauty of rolling snow capped mountain ranges and national parks.

New Zealand is split into two islands – North and South Island. On the North Island you will find the largest city Auckland – home to over a million people and New Zealand’s most cosmopolitan city. New Zealand’s mud springs and baths can also be found on the north island about 3 hours drive east of Auckland. Other large cities include the capital Wellington at the southern most point of the North Island, and Palmerston North.

The South Island is dominated by snow capped mountains and a cool climate. Outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing are popular. Bungee Jumping and zorbing are some of the more extreme sports available in the picturesque surrounds of the South Island.

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand, with a population of 1.4 million people. Auckland is also New Zealand’s corporate and financial hub – with many large corporate headquarters based here and hotels and apartments well cater to these business people.

Auckland as a harbour front city offers many attractions including Skycity and Skytower offering views over the entire city, as well as Auckland Art Gallery and Auckland Museum. Auckland is also close by to many islands off the coast – some volcanic with many offering day trips including trips to the Hauraki Gulf and Waitakere Ranges.
